Consultations for an acting prime minister continue. Today, President Iliana Yotova will talk with the Ombudsman Velislava Delcheva and her deputy Maria Filipova.
On Friday, the head of state will meet with the chairman of the Court of Accounts and his two deputies.
Some of the candidates for acting prime minister have already refused to take the position. Only the deputy governor of the Bulgarian National Bank Andrey Gyurov said that he had declared his readiness to take the position.
According to the procedure, after President Iliana Yotova determines who she will assign a mandate to for an acting cabinet and consultations with the parliamentary parties, the candidate has one week to propose a government. Along with appointing the caretaker cabinet, the president must also set a date for early elections, which are to be held within two months.
