Once again, it was confirmed how stupid this change in the Constitution was - the president to choose an official prime minister from the "house book". Everyone who understands constitutional law said that these changes are absurd and insane. We need to get out of this situation and the deputies to cancel these changes as quickly as possible. Iliana Yotova must cooperate with all her might to ensure that the elections are fair.

"The issue of polling stations abroad is a very delicate issue. A number of democratic countries do not allow voting abroad at all. In my opinion, the adopted changes to the Electoral Code do not violate the Constitution and do not limit the rights of Bulgarians abroad. It is good that scanners will not be introduced for the upcoming elections. I am not saying that this will not happen for some subsequent elections, but now the scanner business will not happen. With each passing vote, voter turnout decreased. There are hypotheses as to why this happened. We will see in these elections whether voter turnout will reach 3 million people," he added.
"There is absolutely no party that will receive 121 mandates. There will be 5 parties in the new parliament, with the mandates distributed as follows: 80 for the new formation, 60 for GERB-SDF, 35 for "We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria", 33 for "Vazrazhdane" and 32 for DPS-New Beginning. 4 parties are categorically eliminated. These are the ones that currently have less than 15 mandates - "There is such a people", APS, MECH and "Velicie". The BSP is on the brink. If they enter, they will take between 12 and 15 mandates. I state categorically again that there is no possibility of anyone winning 121 mandates", concluded Prof. Konstantinov.
