Not Vasil Terziev, but the other main sponsor Atanas Simeonov raises serious questions.
For 4 years, an NGO that has called itself "National Agency" has been carrying out illegal activities in a key place for Bulgaria's security.
This was recalled on "Facebook" by Vanya Grigorova.
Three days after the shooting, Mr. Terziev admitted that he had financed a paramilitary organization. It claims that it had permission to carry out control, that its representatives were to move around armed, allegedly with automatic weapons, which no random citizen can possess.
Of course, there is no permission and there cannot be. Why is Terziev saying untrue things that are easily proven? Nerves, stress, fear?
Less than a month after its establishment in early 2022, this NGO signed an agreement with the then Minister of Ecology Borislav Sandov. The same people also created another NGO, which they labeled "European".
Literally two months later - in April 2022, Mr. Dimitar Kumanov from the "Balkanka" association sends signals to the ministry and a bunch of state institutions for illegal stopping and checking of tourists in the forest by this NGO.
The answer from Mr. Sandov? They do not have the right to seize functions of state institutions. Well, they do not, but they seize.
This brings us to this week's tragedy, for which it is still not clear who the perpetrators are and what their motives are. It is clear, however, that the mayor of Sofia Municipality is listed on the now CLOSED website of the association as a "main sponsor" and he confirmed it. Next to him is Sasha Bezuhanova - close to Plevneliev, whom the NGO thanks for providing a "highly specialized system for aerial surveillance of hard-to-reach areas".
However, who is the other "main sponsor" of the paramilitary organization? Atanas Simeonov, for whom unusual superlatives can be found in print media and podcasts. Owner and founder of Ocean Investments. In the photos he looks like a superman, as he is called here and there. A series of articles in the newspaper "Capital" describes him as a businessman with a cause. Cybersecurity, startup ecosystem, digital and green future, health investors are part of the rhetoric that describes his activities, goals and aspirations. He fully corresponds to the profile before which PP-DB voters from the yellow cobblestones bow.
However! The same person is also the owner of VIP Security - the security company that visibly takes the upper hand in conducting a bunch of public procurements - from the distribution of vignettes (where he is together with Tsvetelina Borislavova), through security incl. of "Bulgarian Posts" and "Mini Maritsa Iztok", to the distribution of the press in Bulgaria. In connection with the latter, the VIP Security company was suspected of close ties to Delyan Peevski, materials anyone can find. Also, until 10 years ago, it was mainly advertised in Mr. Peevski's media. Well, that's not the case anymore, it is mainly advertised in the newspaper "Kapital"
Atanas Simeonov is no longer attached to Borisov and Peevski, at least publicly.
In its publications, "Kapital" calls him "21st century security guard", and other media outlets call him a serial entrepreneur. When VIP Security took over security, and then the distribution of the press instead of "Bulgarian Posts", the state-owned company began to lay off employees. And there are serious suspicions that the distribution in places in the cities is carried out by people without clear employment relationships. Thus, a large part of the activities of "Bulgarian Posts" passes into the gray sector, but the money from the state budget flows steadily and openly to the "subcontractor" VIP Security. Which, I remind you, has already broken its tail and is now modern, digital and eco.
Why have the institutions been pretending not to know what is happening in Petrokhan for four years? Why is it freely allowed that paramilitary structures can develop their activities in Bulgaria, even with state favor? How did it come to the taking of three human lives, resembling an execution? I assume that we will never understand.
But it is not difficult to realize, no matter how crazy it is with the imposed stereotypes, that it is not the parties that have their companies, but the ECONOMIC CIRCLES THAT HAVE THEIR PARTIES. They have no problem working with Boyko Borisov, with Peevski, and when it is more profitable - with Prokopiev. With appropriate photos and interviews, with essays and invitations to speak at glossy business events, the image changes. The essence does not.
There is no money for the forest officials. Every year they pray for a minimal increase in their paltry salaries. There is no equipment. Why? To build a paramilitary organization that CLAIMS that it works better than them. Without evidence, of course.
Live meat is being torn from "Bulgarian Post", which has the largest network in the country. Why? To redirect state money to a private structure.
BDZ was systematically bled to give lines to... Ivkoni. They should tell themselves who they belong to. The Council of Ministers (the government in resignation) yesterday gave the green light to sign the contract.
Again yesterday, a bill was quietly voted on in a committee of the National Assembly, by which pension money will now be played out on ROULETTE. What if it's for pensions, it's money, so some economic circles should absorb it...
Since the beginning of the transition from a centrally planned economy to a market one, all efforts have been directed at redirecting public assets and funds to private bank accounts. It doesn't matter whether these funds are for postal services, border security, forestry, railway transport or workers' insurance. And that's why business is playing parties, because the change of ownership is done through laws. Usually completely legally.
The "Petrohan" case is indicative of how the successor to the State Security is a co-sponsor where he was told he should be. Along with the modern security guard who worked (and probably still works) with the alleged political opponents of the yellow-paved PP-DB.
Personally, I couldn't believe it last night when I looked for information that Atanas Simeonov from the shiny "Ocean Investments" is the same Atanas Simeonov who is at the heart of VIP Security, a hereditary security guard. Apparently a man of all - PP-DB and Borisov, and Peevski. Or rather they are his people But it is obviously true. And when necessary, the current mayor of Sofia and a "serial entrepreneur" together finance illegal paramilitary activity.
"Who doesn't jump is fat", right? The differences between the one and the other are only... aesthetic, in essence they are Siamese twins. Good morning
