Anton Hekimyan: The Sofia Municipality administration has been decapitated so that Terziev can hire 10 more PR people - 1

This should not be another wasted year for Sofia and I believe that the Municipal Council should show how it works and actually lead the policies that the mayor is not really coping with. Because up to this point we have witnessed failed reforms, lame sectoral policies, no consistency and thoroughness in actions. And there are many examples. This was stated by the chairman of the GERB-SDF group in the SOS Anton Hekimyan in the program "Bulgaria, Europe and the World in Focus" on Radio "Focus"

In connection with the changes, including the 54 layoffs, in the management of the Sofia Municipality, he emphasized that the new structure was introduced by the mayor two years later. "The administration has been decapitated so that Vasil Terziev can actually appoint 10 more PR people, a pack of people who will take care of his well-being and good image on social networks. But these will not be people who will work", commented Hekimyan.

Regarding the newly appointed deputy mayors, the chairman of the GERB-SDF group in the SOS stated: "I doubt that they will present priorities, because Vasil Terziev did not present such priorities to the Municipal Council, which is part of his duties, including under the ordinance we are working on", he said.

"Arch. Lyubo Georgiev was in the mayor's team before the elections and during the campaign, then left it, precisely because his dream of being the chief architect did not come true. Now, he will be the quasi-chief architect of the Sofia Municipality", added Anton Hekimyan.

He also commented on the condition of the Sofia municipal hospitals. "A large part of them are on the verge of bankruptcy due to various objective reasons. But by investing in equipment, investing in medical expert potential, in staff, people who could and want to work there, we can restore trust in municipal healthcare. It has not been lost", the municipal councilor said.
