BSP can do without each of us. But Bulgaria cannot do without BSP. Let us not scatter today and tomorrow on secondary issues, let us not get bogged down in traditional squabbles and quarrels, but let us rise to the level of responsibility that we bear before history for the fate of the socialist idea. This is what the Deputy Chairman of the BSP Kaloyan Pargov called for before the delegates of the 51st Congress of the party.

He emphasized that he does not want to be part of the disunity and therefore will take a step aside.

„I want us to leave not offended, but united, because the danger is great. That is why I will not get involved in this race. I will accept every decision, as I have always done“, said Pargov.

According to him, the comments and forecasts are wandering between extremes - from „let us unite and regain the leading political role“, to „the BSP is at the end of its road“. “Therefore, our names here and now will seal either the future or the demise of the party and will be adorned with either glory or shame“, he pointed out.

“It is time to remember it, after experiencing such a dramatic moment in our 135-year history, and to explain in simple words or in a few sentences what our symbol-belief is, our ideology and what we have always fought for and what we continue to fight for“, said the deputy chairman of the BSP and pointed out: “Since our establishment as a party until now, we have always been for: a pure and holy republic, equality and social justice, always with Europe and never against Russia“.

According to him, these are the real red lines for the BSP and there is no need to invent new ones before each parliamentary election.

“These are the boundaries, which in our relations with other parties we should not have crossed, but we did and now we have to wipe the shame from our foreheads in order to continue“, Pargov was categorical.

“It is unacceptable for Blagoev's party to perish at the hands of our generation“, said Kaloyan Pargov.
