President Iliyana Yotova continues with consultations with the parliamentary parties to elect a caretaker prime minister. At exactly 1 p.m., representatives of the smallest parliamentary group - "Velichye" - arrived at “Dondukov” 2, Nova Television reported. Thus ends the last phase before the president makes his final choice for the post.
The chairman of the PG Ivelin Mihaylov, one of his deputies - Pavlin Petrov, as well as MP Juliana Mateeva went to the president.
„We are all guided by the understanding that the state should not stop working and that we should solve the pressing problems facing the state. The challenges before us are very cruel, we are experiencing worrying days. We need transparency and a deep and meaningful dialogue between us as Bulgarians. The elections must be transparent and well-organized. We have no protective measures for the most vulnerable, and the measures are not impressive. Our country must be as predictable as possible. The amendments to the Constitution have limited the choice for the post of acting prime minister, but these consultations are by no means formal. I expect a constructive dialogue”, said Yotova in her introductory speech.
From „Majesty” thanked for the opportunity to present their positions. “Now is the only moment when we can make a turn in something irreversible. The biggest tragedy is the public's distrust in institutions. They did not react to our report on irregularities in the previous parliamentary elections. I notified the CPC that I was being blackmailed, that if I did not vote with Peevski and Borisov, my people would be arrested. Again, there was no reaction, and so the distrust is rising. The feeling is created that the state is crushing the ordinary person, and not taking care of him. The reason for the high prices is that there is no competition in the market. People no longer believe in anything”, said Ivelin Mihaylov.
According to him, the caretaker cabinet must show with its actions that it will act with transparency from the beginning. “This government faces the difficult task of stopping the vicious processes and starting the climb up. We believe 100% in your choice, we are ready to work together for transparency and justice”, the leader of the smallest PG also said.
Before “Majesty”, MECH arrived for consultations today, from where they told the president that he should have resigned and started preparing for 2-in-1 elections, and then they refused to hold consultations and left the Presidency.
And before them, “Alliance for Rights and Freedoms” indicated that after an internal analysis, it was assessed that its position is that Andrey Gyurov meets the expectations for an acting prime minister.
