The Agency for the Quality of Social Services (AKSU) is beginning an urgent inspection of the Family-Type Accommodation Center in Smolyan following information about a boy living there who was injured in an attack. This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP).
The supervisory authority has taken action following media publications, according to which a 16-year-old boy, accommodated in the Center, was admitted to hospital with a skull fracture and concussion as a result of a beating. The incident occurred outside the territory of the social service, the statement states.
AKSU will check whether the care provided and the work organization established meet the quality requirements.
