Two TIRs crashed and caught fire at the turnoff for Trebich on the Northern Expressway.
As a result of the accident, one driver - a 65-year-old Turkish citizen - died, and the other driver - a 59-year-old Bulgarian citizen, has a chest injury, the Emergency Department reported.
The road is closed in both directions - towards Kalotina and towards the "Hemus" highway. A traffic jam is forming.
The Road Agency reported that traffic is being diverted: on road II-18 Sofia Ring Road and is being regulated by traffic police.
