A march against Lukovmarsh took place in Sofia. Citizens gathered in front of the Palace of Justice, with a heavy police presence on site. The march continued along “Alabin“ Street, ending in front of the monument to Vasil Levski.
Those gathered chanted – “Sofia is not a Nazi city“, there were banners with the inscription - “No Nazis on our streets”.
The Sofia Municipality has not coordinated the holding of a Lukovmarsh march, the Municipality's press center announced yesterday. By order of the Mayor of the Sofia Municipality and after the opinion of the competent institutions, an order was issued to ban the procession.
The order was appealed to the Administrative Court of Sofia-City (ACSG). By decision of the ACSG, the ban on the event was lifted.
Through a position, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) categorically declared itself against the planned holding of the so-called Lukovmarch in Sofia and calls on the responsible institutions to take all legally established actions to prevent it.
