Former ministers on Kalushev's cooperation with the National Security Agency: It may not mean anything - 1

Will we learn the whole truth about the “Petrohan - Okolchitsa” case? The topic was commented on in the program “Your Day” on NOVA NEWS by former Interior Minister Emanuil Yordanov and former Deputy Interior Minister Filip Gunev.

According to Gunev, there is still one important unanswered question - what are the motives for the tragedy and do the police even know them? According to him, it is the answer to this question that will confirm whether it is a matter of murder and suicide, or only murder.

“We still do not have clearly formulated motives for any of the versions. This, in my opinion, together with the disappearance of the political leadership of the Ministry of Interior – the minister and the secretary general – This leaves a vacuum that is being filled with speculation, conjectures,” said Gunev.

He also commented on the information on “24 Chasa” that Ivaylo Kalushev was a secret collaborator of the National Security Agency. Gunev said that this is precisely the agency that should fight radical movements, if the main version about a sect is to be believed. “If they had agents there and the result is like this, at some point we will be able to claim that this is their failure,” said Gunev.

According to Emanuil Yordanov, it is not enough for one person to be registered as an collaborator. ”He must have carried out some activity. Practice shows that there are cases in which people register just to have a document, some – "to make it easier to obtain a permit to use weapons," said Yordanov.

Gunev also confirmed that this may not mean anything. "Maybe a regional SANS employee attracted these people to take stock of the number, that there are enough associates. But it could also be something. SANS's silence does not help in this case," said Gunev.

"You see that the information is being released selectively, directed towards certain conclusions that are beneficial to those in power at this moment", believes Emanuil Yordanov.

"I have the feeling that no matter what truth is told, no one will believe it", said Yordanov.
