Keremedchiev: Our membership in the Peace Council is illegitimate, we are ashamed - 1

Bulgaria started in the most wrong way possible with its application for membership in the Peace Council.

This opinion was expressed to the Bulgarian National Radio by Milen Keremedchiev, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The signature of the resigned prime minister is invalid, because there has been no subsequent ratification and apparently there will be no subsequent ratification in the coming days. Our membership there cannot be legitimate, he believes. In his words, we have exposed ourselves to the American administration by signing a document with no legal significance.

There is a big difference between being a founder and being an observer in this organization, he specified in view of the applications of other countries to participate only as observers.

"Bulgaria is currently not officially at the table. The signatures that have been placed are illegitimate. Rather, we have the function of an observer with the functions of a founder signed," explained Keremedchiev.

At the moment, we are already ashamed of this action of ours. After all the fanfare and formalities that accompanied our signature, it turned out that it was actually invalid, the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out and before the meeting of the Peace Council on February 19, he summarized:

"Bulgaria has made the most incorrect steps in this mess."

Trump is doing everything possible to bypass international organizations. He is showing that he would like to impose peace in his own way, single-handedly or with limited support. Therefore, it is right for European leaders and institutions to closely monitor these actions, as parallel centers of influence and decision-making are being created, Milen Keremedchiev pointed out in the program "12+3".

According to him, it would be difficult for the Peace Council to take over the functions of the UN.
