The 153rd anniversary of the death of Vasil Levski will be marked in the Apostle's hometown - Karlovo, with a memorial ceremony tonight.
A hierarchal holy liturgy and a memorial service will be celebrated in memory of Vasil Levski in the church “St. Bogoroditsa“, where he sang as a deacon. After that, a procession will take place to the Apostle's birthplace.
The National Museum is also hosting the ceremony for presenting this year's award to the Karlovo committee “Vasil Levski“. The visiting exhibition of the Historical Museum in Panagyurishte, dedicated to Princess Raina, will also be opened. In the evening from 6:00 p.m. on the square “Vasil Levski“ is the commemorative ceremony on the occasion of the 153rd anniversary of the death of the Apostle. Later, in the hall of the community center, students will present a performance dedicated to the work of Levski.
