Gabriel Valkov: The caretaker cabinet will have the difficult task of fighting the machine created by GERB and "New Beginning" - 1

BSP supporters are generally negative about the composition of Andrey Gyurov's caretaker cabinet. They are disturbed by the fact that old figures mainly from the democratic right came out: PP, DB circles. We also saw people from the APS. Maybe people expected some change, and we went back 10-15 years with some of the names. I don't want to give an assessment right now, because we need to see what kind of work they will actually do. This was said in "Face to Face" on bTV by Gabriel Valkov - chairman of the BSP youth union, quoted by novini.bg.
"First of all, let's see whether, for example, this official cabinet will be able to stop vote buying. They will have the difficult task of fighting the machine that GERB and "New Beginning" have created in Bulgaria. Let's see if they will be able to deal with vote buying and the corporate vote. We saw that they even reached social patronages, services, electricity subsidies, which are stopped or granted by mayors depending on who the citizens vote for. This is a feudal regime that must go away," he was categorical.
"For years we have had people in the sections, observers and advocates. We will closely monitor the election process to make it as fair and transparent as possible," the politician guarantees.
Vulkov said that he would personally support Iliana Yotova's veto on the changes to the Electoral Code.
At the same time, however, this is his personal position, not that of the entire parliamentary group. According to him, it will be interesting how the BSP ministers, who are returning to parliament as deputies tomorrow, will vote. These are Atanas Zafirov, Manol Genov, Ivan Ivanov and Borislav Gutsanov.

"It should become a principle that the Electoral Code should not be touched six months before elections. I will support Iliana Yotova in her views, because they are correct and coincide with mine. Every Bulgarian citizen has the right to vote. Let Bulgarians abroad be active. This is a way to bring them back to Bulgaria if the situation here changes," he commented.
