I have no charges, convictions, or current restrictions at this time. My criminal record is clean, as is my conscience! Politics should be a field of ideas and actions, not a hunt for people. We will see those who tarnished my name in court! This was written by the Deputy Prime Minister for Fair Elections Stoil Tsitselkov in a post on "Facebook".
"For two days now, there has been a massive attack against me. It is not personal. I am simply a convenient target.
This is an attack on the cabinet and its main mission - fair elections. This is an attack on circles that know that if the elections are held according to the rules, they will not win. This is a last fight to maintain influence. Closed administrative issues from more than a decade ago are being brought up and checks are being launched with an obvious political purpose. I have no charges, no convictions and no restrictions in force at this time," he stated on the social network.
And he added: "I will not allow this type of politics to drag down the work of the cabinet. I will defend my rights in court against the illegal dissemination of personal data and abuse of power. Politics should be a field of ideas and actions, not a hunt for people.
My criminal record is clean, as is my conscience".
According to Tsitselkov, fair elections are more important than any one person. "Preserving fair voting is my number one cause. I defend it all over the world and I will continue to work for normal elections in Bulgaria, ones that respect every vote, do not add to votes and do not invalidate hundreds of thousands of ballots. "I spoke with Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov to find the right way to defend this cause, so that everyone is sure of the fairness of the vote," he emphasizes.
And he is categorical that "we will see those who tarnished my name in court."
