To talk about a political umbrella in the "Petrokhan" tragedy, evidence must first be collected. No one can dismantle the administrative machine that has been working in one direction for the last 15 years. This was stated by former Minister of Interior Emanuil Yordanov to BTV.
According to him, the agreement between Ivaylo Kalushev's organization and former Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov is just a screen that will not be useful. "It is hardly something like a sultan's decree with which you can go through the entire Ottoman Empire," Yordanov compared.
Emanuil Yordanov criticized the work of the Ministry of Interior in the "Petrokhan" case. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior has not been seen anywhere since he took office and is deeply illegal. The Minister of Interior, when he has had more problematic situations, does not know what to do. At one point, it became debatable whether he should appear at all and whether it is better for him or for the ministry to go home and not show himself, he pointed out.
Yordanov also shared that he knows the new acting Minister of Interior Emil Dechev. "He is a judge in the Sofia City Court, a man with a rich and political professional biography. I think he is a serious and literate person and I believe that he could cope with the tasks that lie ahead of him", the former Minister of Interior believes.
He believes that it would be a mistake to make reshuffles in the Ministry of Interior right now, before the early parliamentary elections.
