The Acting Minister of Agriculture and Food Ivan Hristanov stated on Darik Radio that he hopes and believes that the new Acting Minister of Interior Emil Dechev will “shed more light on the “ “Petrohan – Okolchitsa“ case.
“Because, I say this as a person who was already following things as a civil activist during that period – "Yes, the situation was indeed too confusing and we were receiving too many contradictory signals and data," commented Hristanov.
He announced that on his first day as minister he had ordered a full inspection of the commitments of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food in the case, in particular in relation to the disposal of the state forest fund and state lands. According to him, at the beginning of next week a full file will be prepared with information "what land we gave, why we gave it, what acts we drew up and what prescriptions there are."
The goal, according to him, is for the ministry to assist colleagues from the Ministry of Interior in building a "360-degree picture" on the case, so that the public receives adequate and comprehensive information, and not "fragmented, fragmented and largely unclear."
