Kiselova: After Libya, it was not right for Nadezhda Neynski to be foreign minister again - 1

Years after the trial in Libya, it was not right for Nadezhda Neynski to be foreign minister again. This was stated in the program “On Focus” on Nova TV by the chairwoman of the parliamentary group of the BSP United Left, Assoc. Prof. Natalia Kiselova.

She gave an assessment of the composition of the "Gyurov" cabinet. In her words, we should judge ministers by their deeds, not by their past.

"However, there are ministers for whom the past weighs heavily, and this is not about Stoil Tsitselkov, but about the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nadezhda Neynski", she pointed out.

She expressed the opinion that Neynski will maintain an extreme position in the foreign policy of our country. Kiselova commented that the ministers in the caretaker cabinet should lead the country through an election campaign and elections. They should not make categorical extreme statements, they should not raise issues on which regular governments would have difficulty reaching an agreement.

"Therefore, it seems to me that personnel reshuffles in the ministry or procedures for ambassadors should not happen during a caretaker government," she admitted.

Natalia Kiselova also commented on the reasons for changing the acting minister. chief prosecutor.

"In legal circles, we are not unanimous as to whether the Supreme Judicial Council or the prosecutor's college is competent to determine the acting chief prosecutor", she said. "My personal understanding is that we should move on to a procedure for electing a new Supreme Judicial Council", Kiselova added.

She pointed out that what lies ahead for Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Minister of Justice Andrey Yankulov will probably be very difficult and there will be many attacks on his personality by Thursday. Regarding President Iliana Yotova's veto on the electoral changes that provide for limiting the sections outside the EU, Kiselova pointed out that there is no unified opinion in the BSP.

"I support the understanding that when elections are on the horizon, no changes should be made to the Electoral Code. The sections should remain as they are planned to be formed,", Kiselova urged.
