I would define the caretaker cabinet as an expanded cabinet. There are participants from PP-DB, Rumen Radev, participants from APS. Everyone was in favor of designating people from the cabinet as their people. I see nothing wrong with admitting it. This was stated by the chairman of the UDF, Rumen Hristov, in the program "Face to Face" on bTV.
"I wish the government success, it will not be easy for them. But a caretaker government must manage the current activities in the state. My expectations are for transparent and fair elections to be held. And if there are urgent issues to be resolved. It is not good to think about long-term projects, such as "Botash", he added.
Rumen Hristov specified that at a national council held on Saturday, a decision was made for the party to appear in the parliamentary vote in a GERB-SDF coalition.
In connection with the statement of Interior Minister Emil Dechev, who demanded the dismissal of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior Miroslav Rashkov, Hristov said: "I am not surprised. Every minister wants to make his own team".
The chairman of the UDF also commented on the "Petrohan" case. "The investigation is not easy. I trust the professionals. Any accusation made in advance is not valid until full conclusions are made. This case has shocked the Bulgarian people. This is a trauma for all Bulgarian citizens. Secondly, there is division in society. Thirdly, distrust in institutions. Criminalists, prosecutors, investigators will tell what the truth is, if they succeed.
I have attacked President Radev for trying to use his position to prepare his party. He had political interests. Now it is fair, because he is on the ground. He had several governments, he ruled alone, he said. And he added: "I am very reserved about a positive assessment of Radev as president. There were no drastic blunders except for "Botas" and whose Crimea is it. But the other presidents were at a higher level.
