Andrey Yankulov: Meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council's Judicial College was not held - 1

"A meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council's Judicial College was not held", wrote Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Andrey Yankulov on "Facebook".

According to him, today he went to the first meeting of the Judicial College of the Supreme Judicial Council after his appointment in order to show due institutional respect for the judiciary and the judicial community.

"Unfortunately, the meeting was not held due to a lack of quorum - some of the members of the college, surprisingly even for their colleagues, turned out to be on leave. "During the short term of the caretaker government, I intend to use the right to attend the meetings of the chambers and chair the plenum whenever possible," the Minister of Justice added.

According to Yankulov, although the minister does not have the right to vote, the mere presence at the meetings provides an opportunity for a better understanding of the problems of the judiciary and participation in their resolution.
