The Parliament overturned the presidential veto and re-adopted the disputed changes to the Electoral Code (EC) on second reading. The reasons for the veto by the head of state, Iliana Yotova, are mainly related to the texts that limit the number of sections outside diplomatic and consular missions in countries that are not in the European Union to 20.
The changes to the Electoral Code were supported by 126 MPs, 86 were against, and 11 MPs abstained.
