From "There are such people" (ITN) read from the parliamentary rostrum a declaration with information about the acting Minister of Agriculture and Food Ivan Hristanov and his appointments and called on President Iliyana Yotova to demand his resignation, BTA reports.
After we revealed the case with Stoil Tsitselkov and managed to terminate his participation in the executive branch, it is time to present some information about another representative in the executive branch - Mr. Ivan Hristanov - the Minister of the People, as he calls himself on the Internet, said the deputy chairman of the ITN parliamentary group Stanislav Balabanov, who read the declaration from the rostrum of the National Assembly.
"As a deputy minister in the government of Kiril Petkov, Ivan Markov Hristanov, whose portfolio includes the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA), has huge interests in food production and in conducting laboratory tests. This explains his enormous personal desire to have the activities of his competing pesticide research laboratory, located on the border with Turkey, suspended, and this ambition clearly shows the corporate family interests of the Hristanovs," said the MP from the ITN. He noted that after the sale of the company for loans, Hristanov's wife - Iva Palma, oriented herself towards activities related to food production and a company for producing laboratory tests.
But let's also see Hristanov's appointments from the moment he took office as a minister in Andrey Gyurov's caretaker government. In his first days in office, Hristanov appointed Angel Mavrovski as executive director of the Bulgarian Food Safety Authority, Balabanov pointed out. He cited information from the website "Struma News", according to which several companies are registered in the Commercial Register in the name of Mavrovski, including "Mavrovski VET" Ltd., which operates in the field of veterinary services, trade in veterinary preparations and equipment, as well as a wide range of other commercial and consulting activities. All areas that fall directly within the scope of the department for which the appointment is being discussed, commented Stanislav Balabanov.
"According to the media, the fact that during the period when Mavrovski held the position of Deputy Executive Director at the Bulgarian Food Safety Authority, his company reported the highest turnovers is particularly noteworthy. After his dismissal from office, the company's activity has sharply decreased," the MP from the ITN pointed out and asked if there was a potential conflict of interest.
Our official email received information about Mr. Mavrovski that while they were working under contracts with the state through his company, there were reports from several regional directorates that he had not done his job and had not been vaccinated, but had filled them out as if he had been vaccinated, and that while he was in public service, the Inspectorate had an inspection that he had five tons of fuel in a year supposedly for business trips, but without business trips," said Stanislav Balabanov. "Either refute this information with documents, or resign together with Hristanov immediately," the MP urged.
So far, the only thing Ivan Hristanov has done is employ people from his party, as well as his friends, in sweet government positions, Balabanov commented. He gave an example of the appointment as deputy minister of the former deputy chairman of the "Unity" party; Ivana Murdjeva, who will be responsible for all European funds. Ivana Murdjeva is a member of the Bulgarian Association for Family Planning and, note, sexual health, this is another NGO (non-governmental organization), Balabanov pointed out. "So Hristanov has his own personal Kobylkina, who will be responsible for European funds," the MP commented.
President Yotova herself mentioned that she has reservations about several ministers, whom she will monitor carefully, Stanislav Balabanov recalled and drew attention to the current declaration about Hristanov. After all these facts, it would be logical, Mrs. Yotova, for your position to be one and the same - to demand his resignation, Balabanov said.
