Israeli tourists beaten up on ski lift in Bansko - 1

A group of Israeli tourists were physically attacked in the winter resort of Bansko after one of them sang a popular song in Hebrew. The incident caused a strong reaction on social networks, where footage of the altercation was shared.

According to a post on the X platform by Daniel Amram, also shared by a relative of the victims, the conflict started over the song "Tel Aviv ya habibi Tel Aviv". An unknown man approached the young man who was singing, started shouting insults and hit him in the face with his shoulder.

"Then one of the attackers kicked my father directly in the face with a ski boot. He was trying to calm the situation and break us up," a family member tells the publication.

As a result of the strong blow, the older man was hospitalized with serious skull and sinus fractures. His relatives describe the attack as a targeted attack, provoked solely by hearing Hebrew and mentioning the Israeli city.

The family expresses its disappointment with what happened, recalling the historical merits of our country in the past.

"Bulgaria has a proud history of saving its Jews during the Holocaust, which makes these attacks particularly painful," the victims also share in their story.

An official statement is expected from the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the identities of the participants in the conflict and the legal actions taken.
