A week before they go on vacation due to the election campaign, the parliament has not yet begun adopting the budget extension law. The current extension expires on March 31.
Yesterday's meeting of the budget committee, which was supposed to consider the Ministry of Finance's project, did not take place. The parliamentary majority and the caretaker prime minister disagreed on the reasons for this failed meeting.
"Who did you talk to, did you seek support, because there are controversial texts, ambiguities and it is important for me to receive an adequate answer," asked Alexander Ivanov from GERB.
"We will hold consultations, there was an invitation from the Ministry of Finance to the members of the Budget Committee for discussion, this invitation was declined. Even if the bill to extend the state budget is not adopted, social payments will not be affected. This was said by the acting Minister of Labor and Social Policy Hasan Ademov in Burgas.
The minister is holding a meeting with the regional structures of the ministry from Southeast Bulgaria to guarantee the fairness of the upcoming vote.
