Next week - from 8 a.m. on March 9, traffic in the direction of Sofia will be restricted on the active lane at km 58 of the Struma Highway, the Road Infrastructure Agency announced, quoted by dariknews.bg.
The change in the organization of traffic in the section, on the territory of the Kyustendil region, is for the repair of a viaduct joint. During the implementation of the activities, traffic will pass in the overtaking lane, and those leaving the town of Dupnitsa at the Dupnitsa South junction in the direction of Sofia will use the acceleration gate to connect to Struma Highway. Under favorable weather conditions and depending on the concrete hardening process during the installation of the joint, the repair is expected to be completed by March 15 (Sunday).
From March 9 to 13 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic organization on a section of the Struma Motorway in the Kyustendil region will be temporarily changed for the purpose of demolishing ramps and installing a net to secure them. The activities will be carried out in the section between the 52nd and 54th km in stages in both lanes, and entry into the emergency lane will be limited. Drivers are required to drive with increased caution and at a reasonable speed.
The Road Infrastructure Agency appeals to drivers to drive carefully and at a reasonable speed, to strictly follow the posted road signs, to keep a safe distance and not to undertake risky overtaking that endangers the safety of other travelers.
