A 36-year-old worker was seriously injured in a work accident in Burgas. The incident occurred yesterday while the man and his colleagues were dismantling roof canvases on a warehouse, BNT specified.
While carrying out repairs, for reasons still unknown, the worker fell from a height of nearly 10 meters. As a result of the impact, he suffered serious injuries. The 36-year-old man was admitted to hospital with multiple injuries and life-threatening injuries.
The Labor Inspectorate in Burgas told BNT that the case is being investigated. Inspectors were immediately dispatched to the scene after receiving the report, and the initial inspection found that the workers were not using safety equipment.
This will provoke a more thorough investigation of the company that hired the workers, which will most likely be sanctioned.
