„I reported to the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office about the statement made by acting minister Emil Dechev in a podcast on the sega.bg website that the General Prosecutor's Office should question me on a complaint filed by Teodora Georgieva, who was removed for gross violations by the European Public Prosecutor's Office, for which complaint I have already notified the prosecutor and the General Prosecutor's Office twice „ad hoc”.” This was announced by the leader of the MRF, Delyan Peevski, in a position sent to the media.
“The threat of being “interrogated by the General Directorate of Internal Affairs” means that either the acting minister, who is a magistrate, does not know the legal matter he is working on in connection with his official commitments as Minister of the Interior, or he is serving the election campaign of the parties he is affiliated with - the PP-DB, to put pressure on their political opponents in the style of “our Interior Ministry”, Peevski believes.
He emphasizes that the Constitution and the law categorically prohibit the acting minister, as an inadmissible political figure, from interfering in the work of the professional staff of the Interior Ministry. “In relation to other interests and relationships between Emil Dechev, Teodora Georgieva and Andrey Yankulov - this must be established in due course by the State Prosecutor's Office and, if they are found, the appropriate legal actions must be taken”, claims the leader of the MRF.
