On March 12, at around 4:20 p.m., the team guarding the "Petrohan" hut noticed smoke coming from the building. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, the investigative team from the "National Police" Directorate, the district prosecutor and the fire department were immediately notified. The team from the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Management, which arrived after the signal, found on site that there was no burning, but smoke was being emitted from a room where wet pellets were stored. Foam was used to prevent a possible fire.
The area continues to be under 24-hour security until further notice from the prosecutor's office.
