Yavor Gechev from „Progressive Bulgaria“, leader of the list in Kyustendil, announced in the special election edition of the program „120 Minutes“ on bTV that the party is funded transparently and without dependencies.

„Our campaign is funded very transparently, people donate all kinds of amounts, and by bank transfer, which are verifiable“, he said.

According to him, support also comes in the form of voluntary work - people donate office space and put up posters on their shops and fences.

Gechev denied the existence of large donors with hidden interests: „There is none. I find it as part of the suggestions in the election campaign, they are trying to "We are being fooled."

As a key priority, he pointed to the topic of Bulgaria's food sovereignty.

"It means that the state must be able to feed itself, rely on its own security, its own products and its own farmers," Gechev explained.

Gechev criticized the lack of adequate support from the state for agriculture.

"The support that should be provided now is quite inadequate. Rather, it is missing," believes the representative of "Progressive Bulgaria."

Among his proposals for measures are: compensation for transport and production, control over pricing throughout the food chain, registers and traceability systems and limiting excessive markups.

Gechev was categorical that "Progressive Bulgaria“ is not discussing any coalitions before the elections.

He issued a warning to voters: “Every lev that is given to them for a bought vote, takes hundreds of thousands from them themselves. The bought vote is a contagion that our society must fight“.
