The leader of the "Vazrazhdane" party; Kostadin Kostadinov and the leader of the list in 1 MIR - Blagoevgrad Tsveta Rangelova presented the party's priorities before the elections on April 19 in the studio of "Zdravei, Bulgaria". They stated that the main goal of the formation is to build a strong, independent Bulgarian government that will defend the national interest, without submitting to external pressure.
Kostadinov pointed out that currently the Bulgarian political elite avoids forming a clear geopolitical position, and the lack of leadership causes fear among the population. “Our country does not have its own assessment of what is happening around us. Wars and conflicts in the neighborhood show how important it is to have an independent policy“, he said.
On the issue of possible alliances after the elections, Kostadinov specified that “Vazrazhdane“ would not negotiate with GERB and MRF, but is ready for dialogue with the winner of the vote on condition that he does not give up on the party's principles. “If the winner seeks us out, we can talk, but only if we maintain our positions“, the leader added.
One of the key topics for “Vazrazhdane“ is the return of the Bulgarian lev. Kostadinov argued this with the negative consequences of the introduction of the euro - inflation, impoverishment of the population and dependence on the European Central Bank. “We entered the eurozone with manipulated budget data. Bulgaria can and should have its own stable currency“, he said.
Rangelova drew attention to judicial reform as another priority. According to her, the current Supreme Judicial Council is compromised and must be replaced. She stressed the need for candidates for high judicial positions to be independent and expert, without ties to parliamentary parties or political elites.
On the topic of migration, Kostadinov and Rangelova stated that strict control is necessary, noting that a large part of the people entering the country have serious convictions and pose a risk to national security. “We have requested information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but we have not received it. It is important to know how many and what kind of people are coming to Bulgaria“, the leader said.
In the field of economy, the leader of “Vazrazhdane“ gave examples of successful independent countries that can serve as a model – Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Switzerland and Norway. According to him, Bulgaria has a historical experience of being independent and having its own stable currency, like the golden lev from the beginning of the 20th century.
Kostadinov and Rangelova emphasized that the main goal of the party is to create an independent Bulgaria with a strong economy and a high standard of living for its citizens. “This can only be guaranteed by a truly Bulgarian government - independent and decisive”, they said.
