By order of a prosecutor from the District Prosecutor's Office – Kyustendil, a 25-year-old Romanian has been detained, accused of the serious accident in which two women and two children were injured.
The accident occurred at the 50th km mark of the "Struma" highway. The accused was driving a Romanian van when he crashed into a stopped car.
The injured have been admitted to a hospital in Dupnitsa. The two women are in a coma, and the 11-year-old child has a brain hemorrhage and broken vertebrae. The baby has a health disorder that is temporarily life-threatening – commotion.
The accused has been detained for a period of up to 72 hours, and a request for a preventive measure of "detention in custody" against him is pending.
