“Against Putin or against Sarafov is a false dilemma. Whether the Prosecutor General will be Geshev, Sarafov or someone else is a matter of the same model. And what Putin is exporting to the vassal countries is the conquered state.” This was stated by the co-chairman of “Yes, Bulgaria” Bozhidar Bozhanov in the program “From the Day” on BNT.
According to him, the two dividing lines - the corruption of the conquered state and the geopolitical one - the EU or Russia, merge into one. An eloquent example of which is Viktor Orbán's Hungary. “Orban had turned the judiciary, the prosecution and the services into an appendage of his family, of an oligarchy, and he himself had declared himself as Putin's mouse. Russia is an authoritarian regime that has no friends, only mice that it tramples. Russia is exporting an oligarchic corruption model through energy dependence, hybrid operations, etc.”, said the co-chair of “Yes, Bulgaria”.
He defined it as a conscious choice of “Progressive Bulgaria” to show a frame in which Rumen Radev as president shakes hands with President Vladimir Putin against a background of Russian flags on Thursday evening at the closing of its campaign in a large hall in the capital. Photos from this video caused violent reactions on social networks. “The Russian state and the oligarchy are closely connected. Our voters must be sure that we will not allow Bulgaria to be displaced from its European path”, said Bozhidar Bozhanov.
He stated that the goal of the PP-DB in the elections is to achieve the maximum result, so that important decisions can depend on it and its voters, and those who blocked the change of the vicious model of governance - Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski, to stay behind the board. Bozhanov announced that today, together with the other co-chair of “Yes, Bulgaria” Ivaylo Mirchev, they went to the office of the illegally occupying the post of Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov, to ask why 40 deputies and candidate deputies with parliamentary immunity, most likely from GERB and MRF, whom the Ministry of Interior accused of vote trading, are not being investigated. Instead, the prosecutor's office has launched checks against the prime minister, ministers and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, who are uncovering vote buyers every day. “First there were the attacks against the regional directors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, today they culminated against the Secretary General and the Prime Minister. This is absurd!”, said Bozanov.
“We will not make compromises with basic values, with guarantees that there will be no replacement of the battle against the conquered state. As for the details, on small initiatives - yes, this is parliamentary technique”, said Bozanov when asked about possible cooperation in the new parliament with the other parties.
He explained that the election of a new SJC, for which 160 votes are needed, is not a judicial reform, but a constitutional obligation of the people's representatives. “We will talk about the SJC with anyone who, for example, supports new rules for the SJC, such as we have long proposed in our Law on the Judiciary, because under the current rules, “broken” people can slip through. People of the “Peevski-Borisov” model, the model of the magistrate hiding under the table, who asks his political superiors what to do and charges one and puts an umbrella over another”, said Bozanov.
Both cabinets, in which the PP and DB participated - of Kiril Petkov and Nikolay Denkov, were overthrown precisely because they started a serious fight against corruption, said the party leader. The first cabinet - through the mafia's Trojan horse against change - ITN. The second - by Borisov, just when the new Supreme Judicial Council was to be elected and when, according to the newly adopted changes to the constitution, the power of the Prosecutor General was limited. “We showed that the conquered state is picking into the pockets of the people. And the cordon sanitaire in front of Peevski and Borisov was set up by the citizens during the protests, and that's why we're in elections now," said Bozhidar Bozhanov.
According to him, there can be no talk of any formulas for power before the voters have spoken, because that would be arrogant at the very least. But he said that his party has shown that it only sits down at the negotiating table with specific priorities. While the requests of the other political forces on the country's key problems are most often just bare declarations.
The co-chair of "Yes, Bulgaria" assured that the fairness of the vote is guaranteed - by the work of the Ministry of Interior, the Central Election Commission and citizen observers. He called his party members sent by Boyko Borisov, who demonstrated how they can open a voting machine with a screwdriver, "a cheap circus of people who don't understand anything about hardware." “I call on people to vote wisely as Bulgarian patriots, under the Bulgarian flag, for a strong Bulgaria in a strong Europe”, concluded Bozhidar Bozanov.
