“I voted today and cast my vote so that there will soon be a working National Assembly, that its leadership will be quickly elected and that we will not witness bargaining”. This was stated by President Iliana Yotova after exercising her right to vote on Sunday.
She emphasized that there are problems to be solved in Bulgaria, related mainly to domestic politics and incomes. “Currently, the systems are failing. We also need care for the most vulnerable people. We must ensure that the government has a very strong and influential voice among our European partners. The situation is also delicate internationally”, said Yotova.
The president expects a very high voter turnout and Bulgarians to show that they “don't care how they live”.
Iliyana Yotova said that there was a small problem with the machine she voted with, but it was fixed immediately.
