PP GERB – Burgas filed a complaint with the Regional Election Commission (REC) – Burgas for an established violation of the electoral legislation related to illegally placed campaign material. The report was filed by the regional coordinator of the party Ivan Aleksiev and concerns a billboard of the political party "Progressive Bulgaria" located less than 50 meters from the entrance to a building in which election premises are located - the Vocational High School of Motor Transport.
According to GERB – Burgas, this constitutes a violation of the provisions of the Electoral Code and creates prerequisites for compromising the electoral process, violating the principles of legality, equality and impartiality.
The complaint demands that the REC – Burgas conduct an immediate inspection of the case and order the removal of the campaign material.
Photographic material certifying the alleged violation is also attached to the report. PP GERB – Burgas states that it will continue to monitor compliance with the election rules and will react to any violation found in order to guarantee the fairness and transparency of the vote.
