"Trend": Radev's main voters are former electorates of PP-DB, GERB and BSP - 1

15% of all those who exercised their right to vote on April 19 decided who to vote for in the last few days (7.8%) or on election day itself (6.9%). Nearly two-thirds (64%) of all voters believe that the elections will lead to a change for the better. Only 5% are of the opposite opinion. This is shown by the data from the exit polls of "Trend".

The profile of the voter of "Progressive Bulgaria" is balanced across all demographic groups. We register a slightly more pronounced accumulation among the elderly (over 50), as well as in regional and small towns.

It is striking that nearly a quarter (24%) of all those who voted for Rumen Radev's formation decided who to vote for during the campaign, which is the highest share compared to the other parliamentaryly represented parties and coalitions.

The majority of the voters of “Progressive Bulgaria“ are former voters of PP-DB (18.3%), GERB (15.6%), BSP (11.3%), as well as those who did not vote in the last parliamentary elections in October 2024 (15.9%).

Over a quarter (28.7%) of all Bulgarian Turks who voted cast their votes for “Progressive Bulgaria“. Rumen Radev's formation is also the preference of 38% of Generation Z. Second after them is PP-DB, with one fifth of all those between 18 and 29 years old voting for them.

PP-DB is the coalition with the youngest electorate among the parliamentaryly represented formations, with 40% of all those who voted for them being under 40 years old. Only MECH has a younger electorate, with 45% of those who voted for them being under 40 years old.

GERB remains better represented in the middle age group (between 40 and 60 years old), where nearly half of their electorate is.

Over a quarter of those who voted for GERB in the last parliamentary elections in October 2024, on April 19, cast their vote for “Progressive Bulgaria“. The same applies to 36% of those who voted for PP-DB in 2024, 44% of Vazrajdane and over half of BSP voters.
