Two children and a woman were injured in a road accident on the road between the Haskovo villages of Uzundzhovo and Aleksandrovo on Sunday (April 19) afternoon, the Regional Directorate (RD) of the Ministry of Interior announced.
They were traveling in a car driven by a 58-year-old man from the village of Kasnakovo. The driver lost control, went off to the right in his direction of travel into a ditch and overturned.
The most seriously injured was a four-year-old boy, who was transported for treatment to the University Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment in Plovdiv with life-threatening injuries. The other injured child, a five-year-old, and the 37-year-old woman are in the Haskovo hospital without life-threatening injuries.
The driver's breath alcohol test showed 0.79 per mille. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated.
