Sofia has a vision and a specific plan for transition to a single-shift regime of education, but its implementation depends on a fairer and more targeted distribution of state funding. This was stated by Mayor Vasil Terziev on the occasion of the necessary investments in the educational infrastructure of the capital.
In this regard, an official letter has been sent to the Ministry of Education and Science with a request to review and expand the national program for school infrastructure and kindergartens.
„Education is the basis of the success and prosperity of every country. Therefore, the conditions under which the educational process takes place are of key importance. The two-shift regime is an everyday occurrence for thousands of families in Sofia and directly affects children's time for study, rest and a normal rhythm of life,“ emphasized Terziev.
