At the meeting of the BSP National Council held today, the socialists voted in confidence in the chairman of the party Krum Zarkov with 95 "for", 1 "against" and 1 "abstained".
The BSP Plenum also made the following decisions:
- Assigns the Executive Bureau of the BSP National Council to develop and propose measures for political and organizational reform in the BSP, to be presented at the next meeting.
- Assigns the Executive Bureau of the BSP National Council to create a group with broad participation of socialists, representatives of the central and local party organizations, the academic community and civil society to identify and overcome the emerging ideological contradictions.
- The BSP Municipal Councils to hold meetings at which to prepare an analysis of the past campaign for the 52nd National Assembly, to update the numerical and qualitative composition of their organizations and to provide the information to the BSP National Council.
