Specialized teams from the naval bases – Varna and Burgas, from the composition of the Navy (Navy) examined and transported remains of unmanned aerial vehicles found near Kara Dere and in the Ahtopol region, the Ministry of Defense announced.
During the examination carried out in the northern part of the Kara Dere area, between the town of Byala and the village of Goritsa, the object was identified as the remains of an unmanned aerial vehicle, which does not contain explosives and does not pose a danger. The specialized team transported it to the Naval Base – Varna.
Later that day, another team from the Naval Base – Burgas was activated with the task of investigating an area in the town of Ahtopol, at the southern end of the bay. The servicemen found and identified a piece of drone debris. After the inspection, it was determined that it did not pose a threat and was transported to the Naval Base - Burgas.
The servicemen acted at the request of the regional administrations in Varna and Burgas, after a positive resolution from the Chief of Defense. The specialized groups for reconnaissance, marking, extraction and transportation of unexploded ordnance were activated by order of the Commander of the Naval Forces.
