The protests against the euro are motivating our European partners to support Bulgaria, said in an interview for the program “This Saturday“ on bTV, the MEP from GERB/EPP Emil Radev.
According to him, there has been fake news related to the euro in Bulgaria for two years.
Regarding the letters that the leader of “Vazrazhdane“ Kostadin Kostadinov sends letters to prime ministers and presidents from EU countries to block Bulgaria from adopting the euro, the MEP said: “And no one answers him“.
“We are eagerly awaiting the date of July 8, when both the Council will pronounce and the European Parliament will vote on a resolution on Bulgaria's admission to the eurozone. From there, we have a long way to go, and here it is very important for our national authorities such as the NRA, the CPC and the CPC to do what they can to prevent any speculation and even a minimal increase in prices, or for those who try to speculate during this period to be quickly and effectively punished“, commented Radev.
He recalled that it is not the euro that leads to higher inflation, but the budget deficit, the administrative increase in wages and the increase in production costs.
“Our European partners are currently very pleased that there is stability in Bulgaria, we have a permanent government with a long horizon and our country is a predictable partner“, said Emir Radev.
