A house adjacent to the exhibition "Encho Pironkov" and against "Nishanyan" collapsed in the Old Town. The building is private and has entrances from two streets - "Khan Omurtag" and "Vasil Kanchev". The collapsed part is from "Vasil Kanchev" street, reported trafficnews.bg.
The building is privately owned and has been left to decay for years.
"Just a month ago, I stated in the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture that I want a commission to be convened to tour the houses in the Old Town. We couldn't get ahead of the problem. There are other houses in bad condition, and this is dangerous for passers-by", commented Elena Kantareva-Decheva.
Access to the house is currently restricted by fire department officials.
