And this week there is a drop in the prices of basic foodstuffs and fruits and vegetables on the stock exchanges in the country, according to the data in the weekly bulletin of the State Commission for Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT), reported BTA.

Imported cucumbers became cheaper by 5.6 percent to BGN 2.20 per kilogram, and greenhouse cucumbers - by 6.7 percent to BGN 2.78 per kilogram. The price of tomatoes (import) is also lower - by 6.5 percent and they are traded at BGN 2.86 per kilogram. Potatoes continue to rise in price, this time by 3.5 percent to BGN 1.47 per kilogram.

Carrots increase by 3.4 percent and are priced at BGN 1.21 per kilogram. Ripe onions remain unchanged and are available at BGN 1.47 per kilogram at the end of the week. Ripe garlic became cheaper by 3.5 percent to BGN 5.50 per kilogram. Cabbage also falls - by 5.5 percent to BGN 1.21 per kilogram, and salad - by 10.3 percent to BGN 0.70 per piece.

The price of imported apples is lower by 8.5 percent and they are traded at BGN 1.62 per kilogram. Lemons are also cheaper - by 0.5 percent to BGN 2.06 per kilogram, bananas - by 2.1 percent to BGN 2.75 per kilogram, oranges - by 6.7 percent to BGN 1.82 per kilogram, strawberries (import) - by 2.5 percent to BGN 4.60 per kilogram.

The price of cow's cheese increased minimally - by 0.2 percent to BGN 10.62 per kilogram, as well as the "Vitosha" type cheese. - by 0.7 percent to BGN 16.69 per kilogram.

Yogurt (3 and over 3 percent fat content) increases by 1.7 percent and is bought at BGN 1.17 per 400 g bucket, while fresh milk (3 percent fat content) remains unchanged at 2. BGN 26 per liter.

Chicken meat went up in price by 2.8 percent and is available at BGN 6.64 per kilogram. Eggs (size M) fall by 2.9 percent and are bought at BGN 0.33 per piece wholesale at the end of the week.

Rice became cheaper by 1.5 percent to BGN 3.20 per kilogram, ripe beans by 1.9 percent to BGN 4.17 per kilogram. The price of lentils remains unchanged and is traded at BGN 4.30 per kilogram.

The price of sugar rises by 1.5 percent to BGN 1.98 per kilogram. Oil is cheaper - by 0.7 percent to BGN 2.70 per liter, as well as type 500 flour - by 4.5 percent to BGN 1.26 per kilogram, while cow's butter (125 gram package) rises by 0.8 per cent to BGN 2.63 per piece.
