Policeman from Dolni Dabnik and Pleven firefighters helped a 51-year-old man injured in an accident on the railway line in the area between Gorni Dabnik and Telish. The man had fractures and bruises after being hit by a Varna train – Vratsa.

The incident was reported late in the evening of June 6, at 11:50 p.m. at the fire department in Pleven. Three firefighters from the Storgozia station responded immediately with a vehicle equipped for rescue operations, an emergency medical team arrived.

It is estimated that the place of the accident - about six kilometers outside the village of Gorni Dabnik in the direction of the village of Telish, is in an area difficult for cars to pass through.

An employee of RU Dolni Dubnik, a police officer from patrol-post activity, on vacation at that moment, was immediately sent to the group, who with his personal high-passable car assisted the CSMP teams – Pleven and the firefighters for taking them through difficult agricultural roads to reach the participants in the accident, provide first aid to the victim and preserve the accident scene.

After consultation with the doctors, the rescue team of firefighters from the Storgozia station moved the victim. He was transported to the railway station in the village of Gorni Dabnik with the repair machine, from where he was transferred to the ambulance of the emergency medics. He was taken to the hospital in Pleven.
