Emil Petrov – Petyo Petrov's brother, known as Pepi Evroto, was released as deputy head of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office-Sofia. The proposal for the release of Emil Petrov was made by I.F. the head of the AP-Sofia Emilia Rusinova, who is also the deputy head of this prosecutor's office, "Lex" reported.

The prosecutor's collegium today unanimously supported him, as the only thing that became clear at the meeting was that Petrov had sent an opinion regarding the proposal, in which he expressed his disagreement with it. He was reappointed as a regular prosecutor in AP-Sofia.

Emilia Rusinova's proposal is related to the formation of a new management team and upcoming measures to improve the work of AP-Sofia.

A week ago, his brother Petyo Petrov was sent to court in absentia for the fraud document on a particularly large scale, representing a particularly serious case. The charge is related to the "Eight Dwarfs" case.

It is about the seized huge sums of money, gold and expensive coins from Ilia and Yavor Zlatanovi. According to the indictment, Petrov used eight invoices that appeared to be issued by a German company, as well as a contract to provide money for safekeeping. This contract was given the appearance that it was signed by Yavor Zlatanov and that he received 650,000 euros from Dimitar Lambovski for safekeeping.

The prosecutor's office claims that with these forged documents, Petyo Petrov received 147 coins with a total value of over 106,000 BGN and one one-kilogram gold bar worth nearly 110,000 BGN, owned by Zlatanov, as well as 550,000 euros belonging to his relatives, as the total the value of the property is estimated at over BGN 1.3 million (see more here).

In the case of “The Eight Dwarfs“ there are still several cases, and Petyo Petrov has been missing for over a year.
