The negotiations were doomed to failure from the very beginning. We are witnessing some dialogue, but between people who do not belong to any parliamentary group. It is better to activate the procedure and move towards elections. Political scientist Tsvetanka Andreeva stated this in the program “More from the day” on BNT, quoted by novini.bg.
Hardly anyone wanted an election, but it was inevitable. Against the background of the political collapse, the negotiations are unlikely to be crowned with success, commented journalist Alexander Simov.
The third term only matters for the timing of the elections. What changed the political situation has nothing to do with the political process – it happened after the scandal in the DPS and the decision of the Constitutional Court, according to the journalist Veselin Stoynev.
According to Andreeva, the intervention in the DPS is directly related to the intervention in the parliament.
I cannot differentiate between Dogan and Peevski, Simov admitted. Peevski is a direct consequence of the policy that Dogan announced on corporate hoops. Sooner or later they give birth to people like Peevski. For me, the interesting thing is who will arrange the DPS lists, he added.
With the decision of the Supreme Court, the status quo is restored. The split in the DPS isolated Borisov even more. Thanks to Peevski and the rejected reform of the Constitutional Court, he is becoming an increasingly unwanted partner of the PP-DB, Stoinev emphasized.
How the situation will develop in the next parliament depends on the development of the Dogan-Peevski conflict, he added.
The fact that Peevski made a second political force was his big mistake, Simov said.
All three agreed that what we will observe in the next National Assembly depends on the fate of Delyan Peevski.
Stoynev also predicts a split in GERB if Borisov does not separate himself from Peevski.
