Two of the hydro units of PAVETS “Chaira“ will be replaced. The real diversification of natural gas sources has begun.
This was announced by the Acting Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov during a briefing after the Council of Ministers.
He announced that he had signed a declaration with the Minister of Economy and Industry of Japan for the development of cooperation in natural gas, nuclear energy, as well as the development of the corporate level in the fields of hydropower. "More precisely for a storage facility - PAVETS “Chaira", he said.
"The good news I can share is that the National Electric Company will launch two public procurements in the next two weeks. The first, for a complete replacement of the 1st and 4th hydro unit of "Chaira". This is a process that will take several years because it is complex. The National Electric Company will assign the repair of 1 hydro unit to the construction company in 1985-1986, the Minister of Energy indicated.
The real diversification of sources of natural gas has begun, the acting minister specified. "The Alexandroupolis terminal will start operating on October 1. In this framework from "Bulgargaz" announced the relevant tenders for the delivery of five trucks, which will provide part of the consumption of natural gas for Bulgarian households and businesses. This will enable the Bulgarian consumer to benefit from a safe delivery", he also stated.
Bulgaria will also cooperate in energy with South Korea and Germany.
A joint declaration was signed to deepen our relations with Germany in the field of renewable sources, hydrogen, as well as the creation of transmission corridors from Bulgaria to Central Europe and, respectively, to Germany.
