Ahmed Dogan's people file a complaint with the Supreme Administrative Court against the instructions of the CEC - 1

"Democracy, rights and freedoms - DPS" ; around Ahmed Dogan will file a complaint with the Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) against the instructions of the Central Election Commission (CEC) regarding the two wings of the DPS (DPS - Dogan and "New Beginning", supporting Delyan Peevski), reports BNT, citing its sources .

We remind you that this week the CEC asked the two coalitions to prove that the DPS party is not part of their composition.

According to the Election Code, a party can participate in only one coalition in elections.

On Monday, the first day of the deadline for submitting documents to participate in early elections, the CEC was blocked for six-plus hours by supporters of both wings. Then the Commission made the decision to simultaneously accept the documents of the two coalitions that formed around the two wings, without giving them a consecutive number, which was what the dispute was about.

The Central Election Commission refused to register the coalition "Movement for Rights and Freedoms - A New Beginning" to participate in the partial local elections on October 20.

It is about the vote for mayor of Gabrovnitsa town hall, Montana municipality, Montana region, and for mayor of Omurtag municipality, Targovishte region.

The CEC motivated its decision precisely with the fact that the "Movement for Rights and Freedoms" party also participated in the coalition applied for registration, but the participation of the same party independently and in a coalition for the same elections is inadmissible.

The decision is subject to appeal before the Supreme Administrative Court through the Central Election Commission within three days of its announcement.

With a separate decision, the CEC refuses to delete the registration of the party "Movement for Rights and Freedoms", which was allowed to participate in the partial elections on October 20, as requested by the representative of the party, Delyan Peevski.

Ahmed Dogan's DPS saw attempts by Delyan Peevski to destroy and then appropriate the DPS brand. At a briefing in the parliament, Timur Khalilov said that there was an application submitted by Peevski to delete the registration of the DPS, which was allowed to participate until the new partial local elections on October 20, which will be held in the municipality of Omurtag and other town halls.
