In the Republic of North Macedonia they have no desire for European integration and are looking for an excuse why this cannot happen. So Andrey Kovachev, MEP from EPP/GERB, commented in " Ever since the day" the provocations by the RSM towards Bulgaria in recent days.
"There is a desire of the current leadership of the Republic of North Macedonia not to continue on the path of European integration. They are looking for some excuse to their public why this cannot happen, and the excuse is, of course, by defaming Bulgaria," he commented.
Kovachev is adamant that Bulgaria has given no reason for such provocations:
"On the contrary, we behave extremely civilized, European, we want good neighborliness".
Bulgaria must respect the European spirit and expect foreign candidates to fulfill their commitments, emphasized Kovachev in response to the question whether our country should strengthen its policy regarding North Macedonia. p>
"We have nothing else to do but insist on their implementation and ask our partners, as well as the US, to repeat this repeatedly in front of Skopje," said the MEP. /p>
