If I had appointed the caretaker government again for these elections, we would not have witnessed such state weakness and the rise of the oligarchy with appetites for political power. President Rumen Radev commented this to journalists , broadcast by BTA.
The question is not about the resignations at all, but about the control of the ministers. You should have been much more persistent when the assembly, in its appetite for power, crushed the Constitution of Bulgaria, answered Radev when asked if he would demand the resignation of the Acting Minister of the Interior Atanas Ilkov.
„The changes, compared to the previous caretaker government, were made in dialogue with the president. If he has any objections to the Minister of Internal Affairs, he could request his replacement,” acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev said today. Yesterday, the president stated that "this measly interest of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the honesty of the elections" is due to succumbing to political pressure.
