We have absurdities – the second wants a leadership meeting with the first and at the same time does not recognize him as a leader. So what is the leadership meeting about? This was said by Tomislav Donchev, GERB MP and deputy chairman of the party, in an interview with BNR.
According to him, the solution to the political crisis lies in a little more reason, overcoming the political ego and political radicalization.
"I'm afraid we're going to an election. We are ready to be the opposition. Attempts to isolate the former have never yielded good results. If the President of the National Assembly is elected tomorrow, it is a sign of a new majority, it will be unprincipled", warned Tomislav Donchev.
And he pointed out that even with the isolation of GERB and DPS-NN, the voters decide who will be in the parliament and outside it.
"In a normal political situation and a desire to take responsibility, now there should have been a cabinet composition and a clear program at least for the first year," said the GERB deputy.
And declared: "We were the only ones willing to rule".
Donchev is adamant that the fact that this NA cannot elect a chairman, pass the first test, is proof of incompetence:
"The president cannot choose how to form a government?"
He does not rule out the possibility that GERB will go into opposition, possibly as an option and as a consequence of everything that has happened so far.
And he explained that the reason for reaching the severe crisis is the inability of the political forces to overcome political abstinence.
"The figure for an equidistant prime minister is not a working formula, if it were possible, it is an equidistant one," said Tomislav Donchev.
And he stated that for tomorrow's vote, GERB has no reason to withdraw the candidacy of Raya Nazaryan for the Speaker of the National Assembly.
"The essential question is whether there is an alternative majority, because parliamentary arithmetic shows that any alternative majority is inclusive of PP-DB and "Vazrazhdane". Tomorrow we will find out if there is one", predicted Donchev.
According to him, the plan to elect Silvi Kirilov as the Speaker of the National Assembly, a tempting proposal at first glance, is an attempt to manage through a cabinet:
"Deep pathology is part of changing the Constitution. Political parties do not aspire to power through a democratic way, but to get hold of official government. This is a consequence of the changes in the Constitution."
Donchev commented that setting conditions and "proposals that are unconstitutional is unacceptable for us".
"Borisov himself said that he is ready to compromise with himself, although the will of the party is the first force to have a prime minister. And that could happen if there were reasonable negotiations, the desire and confidence to have a majority, and to have a government. We tend to compromise. The political pragmatist in this difficult situation is the most experienced with the best positions to rule, and yet he was ready to compromise if he wanted to", Tomislav Donchev explained the difficult situation.
