Bulgaria is taking measures and at the moment there is no danger of reaching to current mode. This was announced by the Acting Minister of Energy, Vladimir Malinov, who was visiting the “TPP Maritsa East 2”, reports Nova TV.
Households in Bulgaria should be calm that the electricity market is secured, added the minister. “I categorically want to state that there will be no electricity regime in Bulgaria, even in worsening winter conditions. We are far from this situation”, he assured.
In front of the “ConturGlobal” TPP, which had suspended operations and laid off workers, Malinov stated that the state would increase its share capital in the company, and it would start operating from January 1.
The inclusion of the 3rd and 4th block of the “ConturGlobal” aims to improve the balance and security of the energy system, which will significantly reduce the potential for importing electricity from neighboring countries, the minister explained.
„What we have reached as an agreement between the shareholders of the company, NEK and the majority owner is that in the long term we will draw a Roadmap and reach an agreement that will also be put on paper to be legally binding. From July 1 next year, the participation of the state, through NEK or another company from the BEH group, to be increased both as a shareholding and as operational management of the 3rd and 4th blocks in “ConturGlobal”, specified Malinov.
